Raptor all the way. Nothing else on the market like it, and it takes most of the virtues of an off road/truck type vehicle and turns them up to 11.

There are plenty of other trucks competing in the Luxo-utility vehicle market, but only one Raptor like vehicle.

Ha... going against the grain here... but Platinum all the way!

Already have my locked up 86 Flareside for beating up the bush with (and the 75 CJ5)... but now with the family and the travelling/towing... needed something to replace my daily driver (the Yukon SLE was awesome, but it sucked at hauling drywall and don't get me started about having to pull a trailer to haul a quad/bike).

So... hauling the Horses/Camper Trailer, hauling the lumber/plywood and the tools and most importantly keeping the 2/8 year olds happy on the longer trips... well... guess what won me over?

Raptor... would be a nice toy but have a couple of those already that are a lot cheaper to fix when things get bent (gotta luv the Canadian Shield)... Could've saved some cash on the Harley edition too... but sure couldn't pass up the 10km Platinum SC demo on the lot

To me... needed a truck that would fit my needs... not someone elses

I'd rather have the platinum if I were to choose between those two. I would want a crew cab and I don't like the way the Raptors look. Very Chevy Avalanchy.

everyone has their own idea, but it really depends on how its going to be used/driven, and appreciated. If you really are going to play offroad, the raptor is the best choice, otherwise youre paying for a bunch of cool looks and hardware that you'll regret having on the road.

I love my 03 HD/SC, fast, low, and looks great. just what I wanted. I think the raptor looks great, but not much serious desert running hear in central PA.

just my opinion to the salad bowl

....I heard the Raptor is 7" or 8 " wider than all other F150-350 platforms, So..... If you live and drive in mostly open areas GET the Raptor. There is No other truck like it ( . ) You will never own another like it ( . ) If You live in the Burbs outside of Metro, and use the truck for trips to the mall, moving your buddies furniture from one apartment to the other, and from time to time your buddies or wife use the truck to " run errands " Get a Nissan. Or get us to the statement " I don't know how I scraped the mirrors off you new truck Dude" Or " It looked like the Walmart parking spot was big enough Hun" By the way there is nothing wrong with the Platinum. Either way I'm envious. Good Luck.

neither....
the raptor is just an over-priced toy that can be built in a garage for about 1/3 less (yes, the design is very good)
the platinum- looks like an ol mans truck...the interior traim and some of the exterior remond me of the lincolns from the 60's.

I agree. I was drooling after the Raptor from the get-go. But after seeing them in person, I just don't like them. Put that grille on a normal F-150 and you have a great looking setup.

Besides, I could easily build a truck almost as capable for at least $10k less

guess I'm getting old then. I love the interior and exterior of the Platinum.

Only reason I'd buy one though is to get that 6.2 motor. But then I'd get a Harley F-150 instead.
