i would like to put header on the truck its a 93 bronce that is fuel injected, but my problem is the oxygen sensor is in the y pipe right before the pipes meet i dont know if this makes sense but the a mini H pipe that goes from one side of the y pipe to the other and the oxygen sensot is in the midle of the H pipe .its kinda hard to explain
and it wont afect anything i was told if i did that i would become a bigger pig on gas . cause it wasent getting the reading from both sides and would think its running lean nd call for more gas
My truck just reads from one side & works fine , as long as you don't have any other isues it shold be fine . I use an H pipe after the headers but its to far down steam to get a good reading , so my sensor is in the right pipe just after the collector.....
I have been running longtubes on my past two trucks with a single O2 in the passenger side collector with no problems. I installed a second sensor in the drivers side this past year just to see if it would make any difference and it didn't so I took it out again.
If you use shorties they often come equipped with an O2 bung, and the Y pipes from Flowmaser and Bassini have them as well so you have lots of choices.
