i havent done it yet but am considering a banks sidewinder for mine there around 2600$ truck has around 250k on it i will be removing the engine for the turbo install and overhauling it with new gaskets, bearings, and oil pump, and rings if im going to be investing money in a turbo i dont want to spend all that time installing it only to blow a old head gasket and have to dis assemble the whole thing again when i was right there and could have done it. i know diesels run forever but why not spruce her up and make sure she can go another 300k for ya without major issues. in my opinion putting a turbo on a 300k motor is like hangin a new chandelier in a haunted house

kinda scary bidding on that one.this may keep the price low.
asking the right questions,and getting help from guys here will help ya.
maybe the turbo guys will tell ya to stay very clear of this one i dunno.

a lot of IDI trucks are down in value,under a new banks turbo lol.so it's little wounder to see them stop making new turbos for the IDI.not many people are willing to spend as much,or much less than they did for their whole truck at this point.myself included.if i get one,you can bet i'll be paying well under 1k to do it or i'll go with out.
