Good morning everyone. This is my first post here, i figure at this point any help would be appreciated. Well my problem is with my AC, heat. Driving around in town on short trips, an hour or less, i have no problems. Its only when i go on long trips that my ac acts up. It doesnt matter where i have the climate control set, ac, ac max, heat, defrost. After im on the road for a while the airflow reduces to almost nothing. The temperature of the air does not change, just the airflow. Along with this i noticed a muffled sound coming from under the dash. I can tell you what my guess is, but dont know how to prove it. Oh ya i forgot to mention theres no change while in 4 whell drive. Any ideas? Thanks. 2004 f250 6.0 diesel fx4.
Actually no i didn't even think about the fan brushes, but i can see how that would be possible. I was thinking maybe i had a very small vacuum leak that only showed up when the truck was at high rpm for a long period of time and allowed the valve under the dash(dont know what its called) to loose enough vacuum and let the blower door close. Does that sound like its really out there? Thanks for your suggestion its good to get a different oppinion.
