Fuel Pump
1999 F250 5.4L
How hard is to remove a fuel pump on a this truck(1999 F250 5.4L)?
The truck bed can come off? right, how hard is that?
Its my cousin truck, he said the the shop said the fuel pump went bad, they hooked up a gauge, it had low fuel pressure..
Does any one have electrical diagram of the fuel pump connectors
(I want to know which is ground and batt 12v)
What is the labor for this?
Are four ton jack stands ok for supporting the truck)

Did one on my brother in laws truck about a year ago. We removed the bed. There are 6 or 8 torx head bolts in the bed the nuts are mounted/attatched to the frame. We just lifted the front of the bed high enough to get to the top of the tank, proped it up with boards. Make sure its secure. Disconnect the battery, remove the electrical plug from the pump, you will need a couple fuel line release tools to get the fuel lines off the pump these are used to change the fuel filter also, theres a big plastic nut sealing the pump in the tank, remove it. You have to reach into the tank to release the pump from the tank, look at the new pump for the release tabs, so you know what to feel for. Make sure to put the new seal on top of the tank when putting everything back together, dont ask why I put that in here. Lets just say it went a whole lot faster the second time around.
