NOS on PSD
Any input would be great.
Reasons being is that NOS is a type of oxygen and Diesels like air you can never run a diesel to lean with NOS and if it does it will just stall, As for Propane I have ran propane and NOS for years on my PSD Propane first then NOS, Propane acts as a catalist it will burn more #2 fuel when running it The problem is that it is really hard on your bearings and if it is not introduced correctly you will get detation and thats a real bad thing Although propane is cheaper in the short term it will cost you a motor in the long run if used inncorrectly
When we pulled my motor out and looked at it every rist pin and bearing had serve ware on it due to the high amounts of propane
The call is yours
I take it that you have a Stock replacement clutch with the updated throw out bearing and pilot bushing?
I will tell you I went though 13 clutches in 2001 The only one that really heald up was a custom built on from Peter at SBC.
I have sence replaced the trans and went to a auto I did the complete conversion and put in a BTS trans, By looking at the truck now you could never know I had a 6spd in it other the running the vin plate, I would highly recomend looking into another clutch you will soon find out that the LuK will not hold, It also depends on how much HP you are putting to the ground too.
if you are around 420HP at the wheels think about a dual disc clutch, Running 420HP on the ground is a huge amount of HP keep that in mind.
I only know of 3 people that trulely have that on the ground, and only of 2 that have it with #2 alone
