Intercooler Leak, HELP Please
Hi there, hope you guys can help! I've got an 06 Ford F-350 8 cylinder diesel. My air exchanger developed a leak, the dealership replaced the motor, now im wondering what actually happens when the intercooler develops a leak???? and why would the dealership change the entire motor without just fixing the leak?

Something is not right... you got to give us a lot more details.
Motors do not get replaced on a whim.
Do you have actual service documents showing motor replacement?
If so, scan them and let us see what is really going on?
What evidence do you have that it is an "air leak"?

Well we have the old intercooler with a hole in it. we dont have any service documents, this was a long time ago and new problems are starting to arise. That is why we are starting to ask questions. The dealership says the intercooler was installed wrong causing it to rub against a bracket which caused the hole, which caused the motor to blow.
