cruise control

I got in the truck monday going down hiway turn cruise on pressed set button it just blinked on then off.every time I press set button it blinks on then off.cruise will not work, any ideas.

Look under the hood at the cruise switch on the master cylinder. There is an issue with the fitting leaking and brake fluid getting on the switch and shorting it out. I had to replace mine a few years ago.

What year and model?
We do have pretty extensive procedure how to troubleshoot CC in 99 Powerstroke section.

5.4 L

switch on master cyclinder is wet could not find recall on it. I will change switch and see what happens.
