T-case shift ****

My shift **** on my transfer case pops off any time I pull it back out of 2wd, I don't see a set screw or a place for one and there doesn't look like there was glue in there ever.

What's the best way to stick that thing back on without making it so it can never come off?

This is on my '96 F350

Thanks

Rubber cement and a good tap with a mallet, maybe. I wrapped mine in duct tape in the '88.

The rubber splines were supposed to do the trick, but rubber sort of shrinks as it ages.

Mine stays on pretty well. I have learned that you cant just kinda push it on, you have to REALLY push it on so that it gets into the splines.

They are friction fit. Whack harder. Use a rubber mallet if necessary.
