I have a lot of vibratin in the front end of my truck. I had the tires balanced and that helped some. All the bushings apear to be fine. I am thinking it might be the tires. If anyone has any input, please let me know. Also I am looking for tires...35x12.50/15 or 33x12.50/15
If those items were bent, I would be looking at the rest of the steering stuff and making sure that it isn't bent either, sounds like someone might have ran into something with it.
it's kinda feels like i have a blown belt in one of my tires, but when i had them balanced they said they were fine. i think it might be the steering or suspention components. what you think?
Do a very close inspection of the axle pivot bracket that holds the right-hand half of the TTB front axle to the truck. They are known to crack and leave the inboard end of the axle attached to NOTHING but the spring, steering tie-rod and shock at the outboard end of the axle. Given that you are aware that the steering components were damaged when you got the truck, this is a very real possibility. Worn axle pivot bushings will also allow these symptoms if they are particularly "tired".
Do what Grey says, i had exactly that issue on my Bronco several years ago. It started vibrating badly when i was taking a curve, and i was about to get in the road.
