Misfires
I have a 2004 that im buying off my parents fleet. It is misfiring at low and mid throttle but clears up at WOT. It definitely gets better once the oil is up to operating temp, but it is still there. Is it just a injector that is going out, but not quite yet bad. It shows no thrown codes with the reader built into the bully dog i have. Anyone have any input or ideas? Thanks

Could be a egr or ficm problem. Check the tech folder in this section for a great write up on how to remove/clean the egr valve, and how to check/repair the ficm. On a side note the bully dog is really bad for a 6.0 I would not suggest using it. If you want to go the tuned route you should really look into getting custom tunes with either the sct or Spartan tunner. If you do some searching on here you will find pleanty of info to back this up.

Ya man thanks for the advice. I The bully dog was given to me as a trade for some work I did, but eventually im looking a getting SCT. So a dirty or clogged EGR valve will cause the symptoms i described? I havent gotten a chance to pull it yet or check the voltage on the FICM yet, but im plannin on doin it asap
