how do i create a gallery

Forget the galleries. They are old and clunky to use. Instead create albums for your photos. Albums are much easier to create and they won't take you as far away from the forums as galleries do. They are easier for other members to view and they are attached to your public profile.
Oh wait, I see you've already created an album. Well if you really want to make a gallery, go the FTE home page and click "Manage/Create" in the Galleries pull down menu. The rest explains itself.
