Bendix Linkage Style Steering
ok first the basics... 76 f250 4x4. has the bendix style linkage system steering. not sure if i should call it power steering or power assisted, but none the less the hydrolic lines go to the shaft below the pitman arm, not the gearbox. i need a ball joint where the pitman arm goes to the front of this hydrolic shaft. any ideas? lmc shows it in one picture on page 106 (i think) but its grey meaning they dont have it. is this gonna be a junkyard find?

DC has the same kit for $50 (as of 2008) on page 22 of their catalog, can't vouch for it since i've never bought it but the Stanger parts i can vouch for, bought em, used em, like em, keep in mind the $50 DC kit does NOT include the seals and $100 Stanger kit DOES.

right on. again thank you! after parusing through stanger's site, i learned quite a bit about the steering system that i didnt know, and now i might not be rebuilding or replacing anything. i thought the movement of the ball stud was a bad thing, but come to find out it IS supposed to do that 
now i just need to find out how much its supposed to move so i know if it needs any attention or not. again thanks for the help, his site is cram packed with knowledge! got it bookmarked for any future reference.
