If he's comming home in a couple of months, and I buy my new place, maybe I could host a weekend GTG at my new shop? I'm sure I can find a couple of projects to work on..................
Congrats Evan! That's the best news I heard all week
So the snow is really hitting us hard guys and my hill a total mess. I came home to the neighbors wife sideways halfway up the first hill and him walking from the bottom to help her out because he was afraid his little dodge would get stuck if he tried to go up there. So I talked him into letting me try and he hopped in.. by the time we got there the other neighbor was out on his quad trying to plow so he got us a shovel and we started digging for a spot to hook onto her but these new cars have no such place! So we finally got her chained up and up the hill and safely home. I went back down and made run for it and made the first hill easy... second hill I was throwing snow over the cab off all 4 wheels trying to get through the deep stuff but I made it... then I stopped to talk to the neighbor on the quad, he was having a heck of a time plowing this wet junk!
Then I start up the last hill to my house (Don from were the roads splits were you turned the trailer around) got halfway up to my house (Don almost to were Mikes truck was) and she just flat gave up on me
I backed her back down the hill and the neighbor started trying to plow it with his quad, the snow is just so wet and heavy he was having a heck of time but got me a lane plowed. I threw her in 4 low and proceeded to throw snow off all 4 tires again all the way up to my house!
Both neighbors are out plowing the whole hill now, the one on the quad and the guy who's wife was stuck is on his tractor. Problem is it's snowing so hard they can hardly keep up! My 4am drive to work should be real fun!
Nice and clear here Ed. No snow, no rain, and 40 deg...............I remember hauling the trailer up to your place in the summer, and I feel for ya. Take some pics so everybody else can see...............

I would say we have gotten about 8 to 10 inches so far today and it's still falling. Tomorrow I am going to try to video a trip up my hill so everyone can share in my fun.
You guys are a bunch of wussies...........When I married my 3rd wife 38 years ago I told her I was tired of taking orders from women. My dad was in the NAVY for 26 years and was always out to sea. As a consequence I was pretty much raised by 3 women, my mom, my aunt, and my grandma. Then I got married twice, and both of them tried to control me. When I met Melody ( My present wife) I told her if she thought she was going to try and control me she could leave now and don't let the door hit her on the butt as she was leaving. After 38 years she's still here.......Like she tells her girlfriends, "Don and I talk everything over, and then he does what he damn well pleases".......Works for us!
Trying to keep it to one marriage.
but I do wish someone had told me to have the talk with her prior to marriage.
So far my marriage is going great. We discussed almost every aspect of our lives and our futures before getting married.
Only thing she didn't realize was how obsessed I am with Ford trucks. At the time we met, dated, and got married I was driving a VW Golf that I drove for a while after my dad sold my '87 F150 when I was stationed in 29 Palms (Still don't know how he did that because my name was the only one on the title).
Then about 2 months after getting married I sold the VW and got my F350. Since then she has seen my true truck obsession... But she deals with it very well and says "Well, there are worse things you could be spending your time and money on..."
Well now after visiting her family and seeing her uncle's blown '73 Camaro I am really missing my '70 Firebird... so I'm not sure what my next project will be now.
I was thinking about a late 50's or late 60's ford truck, but now I'm thinking about another 70-73 firebird sunday driver kind of car... Or do I want mud toy? I DON'T KNOW!
