most commonly its a acronym used in compairing guns... stands for "Any Other Weapon"...

but also has to do with class 3 weapons... Some of the more common weapons considered to be AOW include cane guns and pen guns. However, AOW also includes firearms such as smooth bore pistols and revolvers that fire shotgun shells and have barrels less than 18 inches long.

couldnt tell ya... youd have to ask someone else there... i know they have some extra taxes thrown onto them though...
