need help identifying missing emission components

I have a 1994 F-150 with a worn out 302 (270,000 miles) and I am replacing it with a 199??? 351W that I don't know the history of.

It is missing most of the emissions system components and since I don't know the year of the 351W or what it came out of I am having trouble knowing what I need to find.

I have used different pieces from the 302 to make the 351W work in the truck (alternator and belt tensioner, bracket, etc.) and I mocked up the EGR and AIR systems from the 302 on to the 351W but I don't think they were routed identically.

The pass. side exhaust manifold has a plugged up fitting on the front of it that I guess went directly up to the EGR but I don't have the pipe.
The manifold also has no signs of where the AIR pipe brackets would be attached like the 302 did.

I can find no diagrams online or from my Ford dealer to show me what it should look like.

The block number is E9AE-6015-AA-14
The manifold number is RF-E8TE-9430-AB

I need the corresponding EGR and AIR systems for this engine.

Do you need the air system for emissions inspections? If not I'd suggest you simply delete it. If you must keep it there's no reason you can't route everything exactly as it would be on a 5.0, this AIR system for this motor, year, and truck would have been setup the same as the 5.0 anyway. It's only when you go to the bigger trucks(F250) that the system looked different, but even then it functioned the same.

The fitting on the passenger exhaust manifold is for the EGR tube, Ford had to do everything different on this motor for some reason.

The casting numbers on your 351 indicate 1989 and 1988, so the motor is definitely a '93 or earlier assembly.. casting numbers don't signify the build date just when the casting was last updated. There was a major update to the block in '94 but there may have been other minor updates before that. Chances are your motor is an '89 or '90 build.

I was thinking that the motor was '94-'96 because it has Mass Air sensor on the air intake hose. I just figured that they were selective in what they used the new blocks for until they used up the old blocks.
Doesn't the "AB" represent the version of that block that they had made since starting in '89. They work there way through the alphabet A to Z and then go to AA and so on? So there would have been over 25 revisions to that block before they made the one that I have.

I am aware that mid-93 they started using the "F4-roller ready" blocks. I got lucky and have one in my 93 Lightning, build date May 17, 1993.

When looking online for parts, I noticed the 5.0 and 5.8 EGR and AIR parts are not the same price so I assume that there is some differences between them.
There were no part numbers, just descriptions, or this would be a lot easier.

I am trying to get the truck street legal and I assume that I will need to pass a transfer smog to get my pink slip.

Thank You for the list and diagram.

Can anyone snap a photo of their 351W so I can see if it resembles mine.

The two pieces that I am most hung up on is the AIR tube and EGR tube and how they are routed and attached to the motor.

The 1994 302 that I have has AIR components behind the upper intake but judging by the length of the corresponding vaccuum line on the mystery 5.8L these parts were somewhere along the pass. side maybe on the wheel well.

351W with missing EGR and AIR systems.
