Talking Axle options

Im working on an 02 2x2 prerunner. It has the 8.8 in the rear with 4.88's and 37" tires. Im looking for replacement drop in stronger axles. Who's got what, where and why? Whats the hot setup? Also, my customer wants a programmer for more HP too. Thanks in advance.

Famous name company:

Currie Enterprises All 8.8 Inch Ford

Are you staying with stock suspension, or four link?

37s are going to stress any stock axle housing.

I would look into a beefed 9 inch set up if I spending the other guys money....

Talking

My guy called currie, and was told they only have axles for Their housings. I thought that was a bit strange...Believe it or not this housing has over 100k of hard miles on it, and its just now going thru a rebuild...Not too bad if you ask me. But you are correct, a nice 9" with chromoly axle tubes nicely gussetted would be the hot ticket. Currently he is using Deaver springs with King on all four corners. It works pretty well. Im still searching for a heavier axle. Someone has to make one im sure.
