a/c problems
92 5.8 zf5 4x4 3/4 ton. This winter the heater would blow hot when it was sitting still then going down the road it would be cold. Now it is summer and the a/c will work when you first take off then you hear a pop and the vents blow hot air. I checked the diverter door solenoid under the hood it is working. and I did not find a vacuum leak on the white tube under the hood. What am I looking for next? I don't know if this is related but the CEL will come on only if you are going down the road. It will not turn on if it is just idling in the yard. Thanks for any help.

I do not think your CEL and HVAC problems are related unless one of the coffee can vacuum reservoirs is rusted through. There is also another small plastic vacuum reservoir on the side of the evaporator case that is another common cause of HVAC airflow problems.
Start by pulling the codes to see what else is going on. Then do a thorough inspection of the vacuum lines/reservoirs. Repair as necessary.
