01 POWER STROKE STARTER WIL CRANK WHILE ENGINE RUNNING?
Man this one that has me scratching my head!! 01-f350 7.3 first problem go to start truck after WTS light turn ignition on blows #20 fuse which is for starter. second replace starter and still no go. next replace solenoid on passenger fire wall cranks up fine after 20 mins of idling we here the starter engage while engine running pull #20 fuse starter shuts down engine still running until key is off.

It sounds as if there us a short in the wiring that is going to the starter solenoid. For some reason your solenoid is energizing when it is not supposed to. I would take a look at the wiring in the steering column first.

Thanks for the advice,I have checked the column wiring and everything is ok.
It is kind of hard to get around working on that thing I just got diagnosed with liver cancer but "I may not be as good as I once was, but, I am as good once as I every was" So we will chomp away this is the weirdest wiring ghost I have ever seen but man I love that truck!!
