i just chipped a gear on my year-old 3sp. i converted it to the floor w/ the hurst indy shifter after i trashed my old clark 4sp. now i want a np435. what is the length of the 2wd version? when i swap it in, would i have to mess w/ the clutch linkage? i have a 300 i-6, so do i have to find a bellhousing? and do i have to find a new or fab a driveshaft?

 

Your 3spd bellhousing/clutch will fit. There are 2 different output shafts for the 2wd models. One has the slip yoke built in like your 3spd. The other has a bolt on yoke. Most likely you will have to modify the driveshaft.
