ok well i finally figured out the electrical gremlins that I had. I guess i hooked up a bad trailer because one of the fuses was melted then there were wires burned and melted together behind the instrument cluster and also under the fuse box under the hood. Now that I have all that figured out, now when i start my truck i get 3 sets of 5 beeps, then it stops. the beeps are like 1 second apart. I have no clue what it is. Its not my seat belt, door ajar, emergency brake. Its not that big of deal just kind of annoying. Any help is greatly appreciated
The only think I can think of is in the factory harness for the brake controller there is an alarm that will activate if it sense a failure in the connection. I don't know what it sounds like though, but it should be easy to pull the lower dash cover off and check it out.
Mine does something close to that. It has 3 sets of 5 beeps and then they go off till the next time I start the truck. Mine does it though because my clock spring is out in the steering wheel, and the driver's side airbag will not work. It used to not beep, but then the airbag light on the cluster burned out. My mechanic told me that the beeping was like a secondary warning to tell me that the airbag wasn't working properly. He said either replace the airbag warning light in the cluster and deal with it being on all the time, or replace the clock spring and then there won't be any beeping and the light won't stay on.
i get this same low tone beep...i thought it was bc my door was ajar, or bc i refuse to wear a seatbelt or something hammy like that...i sprayed the crap out of the latches and solved the door ajar issue, and i put my seatbelt on, just for this test...beeping still there...my airbag light, lights up as it should, and turns off after a few seconds...also, mine doesn't beep until i've been driving for a little while...this has been going on since i bought the truck, and i would LOVE to figure it out...for now, i will keep turning the radio up a bit more when it starts...lol
Yep, thats exactly what I do when the beeping starts... just crank the radio.
that seems to be the only correction i can think to do...i can't find the source, and really don't feel like screwing with it, so...up goes the tunes...
