1953 Steering Column

Is there any linkages available to make my stock 3 on the tree shifter operate my 1986 AOD?

Nothing in the aftermarket I'm aware of but I'm sure you could do it yourself with a little fabrication.

I have never done any fab work, but I guess we will see how it goes. I just dont want to hack up my all original truck just for a modern convenience of an automatic with overdrive.

It's not that hard. I have a Chrysler column shift hooked up to a GM TH350 transmission and even rigged up a neutral safety switch out of an old backup light switch. I did all the fabrication myself using an old GM shift linkage.
