New stuff and install advice

first of all i thought i would get some opinions on how the new stuff looks. painted my factory grill black and got smoked cab lights from riffraff.

and second, im replacing the gaskets in my up pipes this weekend. i've already got the gaskets (couldn't get the bellowed up pipes at this time but maybe sometime in the future i can) and i got the turbo re install kit from guzzle. i think it came with all o rings and new turbo bolts. is there anything else i need to check/replace while i have her apart? and all of yall's words of advice usually help with my projects too so if you have any im listening

Be carefull to not over torque the plenum boots when going back together. You can easily crush the plenum flanges and then you will need the inserts from Clay to fix it. With the intake pipes out you could take off valve covers and retorque the rockers and injectors. Also look at your UVCH for chaffing, maybe do the $.50 mod.

Make sure your turbo pedestal EBPV piston isn't leaking any oil. In that kit(I bought one) you should have o-rings for the backing plate, you might want to change those too while you have the pedestal out, they're prone to leaking.

while its apart i might as well do all of it. does anyone know the recomended ft/lb to torque everything to? i have the info for the turbo stuff but not the injectors and rockers. also is there a write up anywhere on how to do the o ring change in the turbo and stuff? i have a write up from guzzle's site for the gasket change. i know im asking for alot but i like to do my homework and make sure its done right

You don't need a write up on the o-rings for the turbo. When you pull the turbo off the pedestal, there will be 2 o-rings sitting there staring at you. One big and one little. Remove them, lube up the new ones and stick the new ones where the old ones used to be before you re-install the turbo.

I like to stuff rags in the intake plenums and lay one over the turbo pedestal while working in there to keep stuff out. Just remember to remove the rags before re-assembly.

Lower injector hold down bolt circled in blue to 120 IN lbs

If you are talking about the turbo and pedestal o-rings, make sure you use new o-rings and petroleum jelly (lots of it) to hold the o-rings in place during the re-install of the pedestal and turbo. Knock on wood, I have done it twice with no oil leaks after the job.

alright thanks guys. and f350_6 i believe it was your write up i looked at on the 50 cent mod. i figured while i had the valve covers off it would be stupid not to do it. i've been trying to look up the ccv mod but cant see it and really dont understand it

so far im replacin gaskets in up pipes, replacing turbo pedestal o rings, doing 50 cent mod, re torquing injectors and rockers. anything else need to be done?

The ccv mod is simply removing you ccv doghouse turning it around 180 and adding a hose to the outlet of it and running it aft and down. Also capping the inlet hole it has left in your intake tube between your filter and tubo. Where it used to plug into the intake.
