bolt npatter

1989 f150. Hey gang putting my 5.0 back together. I want to bolt the accesory bracket for the power steering pump and A/C on the engine head but the top right hole is an emmision hole. Is there a way to put a bolt in there to secure the bracket??

is the head on backwards? that's the only thing I can think of if the holes aren't the same as when you took it off.

It does sound like you reversed the heads. There's an insert you can get to screw in and plug the port which has smaller internal threads for an accessory bolt, from the Ford dealer it's part number F4ZZ-6E086-A. Also available aftermarket from some suppliers such as Summit:
