OK. Got it on Friday. Downloaded the new programs and it was sooo easy. Even I could do it. Anyhow, the change was like night and day. She really came alive!! I immediately knew just driving in my workl parking lot how hot this truck is now.

Driving to work on Sat am, some cheeseball in an older GMC diesel wanted to play at a stoplight. He reved up and jumped ahead once the light turned green but I caught and passed him holding about a car length ahead until 60 when he let off the gas(diesel). Felt good. He probably didnt have anythinng much to speak of un\derhood but it sure made me smile!!

Great job to Mike at 5 Star!!!! I will urge everyone I know to try his stuff.

Thanks also to everyone here who helped with the suggestions.

will the 5 star tuner calibrate the speedo for larger tires? I have 37's on my truck currently and I seem to be off by about 5 miles an hour

I believe it will but check with Mike at 5 Star Tunes. He is listed as a vendor here. They really do know a ton for our Ex's.

Please pass on that I love my stuff and we all suggest you talk to them.

I am ordering mine this afternoon! What tunes did you get in yours?

I am hoping to see an increase in MPG as well. I only get 10mpg with my V10 3.73. Used to get about 12 right after I did a fuel injector cleaning (about 3000miles ago) but it has declined since.

Any ideas on why the gas mileage keeps getting worse?

10MPG is about what I have come to expect with mixed (80 city / 20 highway) driving. I do have big tires and the 3.73 gears though.

I have had my SCT LiveWire since 01/09, if you go to my link on this banner, scroll to my 01/09 fuel entry when I filled up and went for a highway ride to test the tuner.

I have a K&N performance intake kit, 3.73LS, and dual cat back FM70 exhaust.

I just purchased but haven't installed the SPD Y-Pipe yet that I ordered from Mike at 5 Star.

I didn't buy the tuner for fuel mileage, but as you can see I have attained over 15 mpg on the highway through NYC to Connecticut, not a good open country road test to say the least and I'm a very heavy footed driver when the opportunity arises, average cruising speed was upward of 75-80.

My daily drive is less than a quarter mile each way, and my towing consists of 4.5 miles up a steep grade 12 times a year. I have put on 11K miles in 22 months and have only made less than 6 over 200 mile trips.

The power increase can actually spin the serpintine belt so the alternator light comes on momentarily due to slipping and it's new! I'm not the usual smoke the tires type of driver, I respect my tires, but it will and has done it with the tuner.

Any chance you can pots up a vid of the exhaust. I'm thinking of going FM70 myself - just haven't heard one yet ...

not sure hwy mpgs drop. I have 2 sets of wheels/tires for my ex. LTx M/S on stock EB wheels and also 18" LTXAT2 on xome cool black with polished lip wheels I got on clearance from tire rack. Rides great! Those are both performance tunes and I have a Tow tune for the 18's, since I use those in spring/summer and tow the camper.

in the week or so I have had the 18" perf tune installed, MPG has gone from low11's to a solid 12.5 on ixed driving but the driveability is so much better. I jump off the line at a stoplight, pass easier than before. I next want an exhaust and seem like I am leaning toward the Gibson Dual Sport with the twin pipes coming from the muffler. Sooo cool looking.
