Can it be done?!
Can a 2000 ford ranger (V6) fit a FE 390?
I'm sitting on a 77 f250
-NP 205,
-4speed standard,
-1ton dana 60's
-FE 360 (I would convert to a 390)
Not saying the V6 is junk but i'd like to turn this into a 4x4 beast -- suspension lift, use the frame and body of the ranger.
ANY ADVICE would be great because I got an offer for a straight up trade (my 86 4runner for the 2000 Ranger...)

the answer you want: yes
the truth: no, UNLESS... you get creative with frame mods and motor mounts, and after that, your lookin at getting a new drive shaft. and who knows what else. In my opinion, id trade that Jedi (to-yoda) for the blue oval and use it as a daily driver, and make the '77 the beast. it has more potential (and room) than the smaller truck.
