Check engine light cam on
I cranked my X which is a V-10 and back out of the driveway went 1 mile, stoped at a red light and the engine died. The engine restarted fine but the check engine light came on and stayed on!
Ran an OBD II scan and it showed the speed sensor had a malfunction. Cleared the code and have had no problems since.
The speedometer was working fine and the shifting was fine the 30 or so miles I drove it with the check engine light on.
I puzzeled over this one. But I stay confused anyway.
