after wire wheeling the frame you will need to use Metal Prep on it before you use the POR15. Metal Prep gives clean metal something to bite into. POR15 requires some bite in the metal.
The first time I ever used POR15 was about 15 years ago and I had a frame media blasted completely clean. I put the POR15 on the frame and it still holds up to this day. The car is a summer driver but has been driven for the past 15 years.
Whatever you decide on, make sure you wear good rubber gloves and a long sleeve shirt. If you POR15 on your skin and it dries you cannot wash it off. It has to wear off and that can take 10 - 14 days!

Heed this advice. They do make a solvent now. expensive, but if you are going to work with POR 15 you should get a bottle of it.
There is this real neat stuff out ther its called chassis saver. And you can paint over it. But one thing i would recomend depending how rusty the frame is. There is no substitute for sand blasting. I wire wheeled frames and por 15 them before they seemed to rust again.
