Bumpers!!??

Hey guys. I have a 1997 F150 2wd Lariat. I know of a cheap bumpers I can get for it. BUT they are off of a 1999 F150 4wd I believe, ARE these Interchangeable?????

the mounts are different so you have to replace those too. (from what i have read) also you have to change your whole grill to avoid getting a big ugly gap in your front end.

Well I did a little research and you are right about the front. But the rear bumper will work 97-04 are the same but only 97-98 for the front. But one thing I couldnt find is about an Ford Explorer. Its a 98, Would its Front bumper work for my truck????

No, brackets are different and they are designed with the grill. A '99+ bumper on a '97-'98 would have a big gap above it in the middle where the '99+ grill dips down. Going back a few years from when I did mine but IIRC if you get all 4 brackets then you should be able to put the bumper on but you will have the big gap. LMC truck has the diagrams in their catalog that shows all brackets needed.
