HELP!! What motor is this??

My nephew has a 73 F250 that he is trying to fix but its not the original motor. The numbers on the back of the block just below the intake manifold are 8E2DIF2A. From some other numbers he did get that it was from a 72 T-Bird but we need to know the size of the motor. Please someone help! I want this truck out of my yard!!!

The casting numbers won't identify the engine family you're going to have to post some pictures.

look for a 352 on the back of the block somewhere, that would make it an fe. but it won't tell you what size fe it is, but otherwise x2 on what conanski said

Just look and see if the valve cover covers part of the intake, if it does it is an fe, the only way to tell for sure is to measure the stroke.

The '72 T-Birds came with the 429 engine, I believe.
