fuel pump wont load up
when i turn key on pumps wont load up 300 six 88 4x4 fuel inj. by using jumper wire i can charge up pumps,but wont fire when i put a little gas in throttle body she fires but runs rough!and dies i dont think inj. are pulsing? changed f-pump relay and thingh right next to it!pumps are new all way around!could it be a bad wire?or maybe computer? thanx steve

You need to narrow down where the voltage loss is located. Start at the fuel pump(s) connectors and work your way forward. If you have dual tanks and neither pump is working, check the inertia switch which I believe is located behind the pass side lower kick panel. reset the button and try again. Is the relay clicking when you turn on the key? Check for power to the relay. Most fuel system probs are a relay, safety sw or a bad ground. Also check your fuse at the fuse box. inertia switch reset,changed f-pump relay it clicks!fuse box not marked so i changed them all!as far as grounds go were do you start?!been looking for a bad wire for a few days now!(thats what the ford dealer said it was!!) fuel pressure reg new and pumps pretty new! thanx steve

in case anybodys wondering i found the problem!! bought a ford code tester hooked it up and it wouldnt stop beeping(bad ground)removed battery and there it was !bad wire coming from neg. batt. terminal was all green and corroded looking.! thanx to those who replyed steve
