after installing a set of bean injectors and the controler. I took out the transmission rather quickly. I rebuilt it using a billet backed converter, and the trans go tugger kit. There was a lot of warpage in the case across the center support. I flat filed it and the valve bodies. Everything is clean and flat.
This trans now takes a few seconds (about 5 ) to engage either forward or reverse. It is worse when it gets hot. I pulled it back down to make sure there are no cut or damaged seals. I dont see anything wrong.
I needed the truck so I put it back together and have been running it that way. Once it goes into gear, it is fine.
I would try the 7.3 forum first. Then call a tranny shop. I hear bts has pretty good customer service and a lot of exp with the 4r100. Might be able to help you pinpoint the issue.
