Locked out !!!!!!! <GRRRR>

Locked out !!!!!!! <GRRRR>
Okay, here we go.
Yesterday, we took the 1982 Lincoln Mark6 to the city. We made a stop, went shopping, came out, and used the keypad to open the door, It unlocked just fine. I grabbed the door handle, and lifted it up to open the door. SNAP !!! A semi-circular piece of metal fell on the asphalt. I re-did the entry #'s again, and got the rear door to open, and got in the car.
(The passenger door has had to be opened from the inside since we bought the car 2 months ago).
Today, my boyz went out to the car, to set the new radio/stereo that we had installed by Best Buy a week ago. That is when we found that the entry pad wouln't work, so we are basically locked out of the car !!!!!!! I don't even know how to get the hood up.
I did manually get the trunk to release, and found out that the trunk light don't work. (It did yesterday).
Don't know if we lost power, or not. Battery, alternator are both new !!!
Suggestions !?!?!?
I didn't know where else to go to ask questions late on a Sunday night.

I would suggest getting a locksmith to come out and open the car for you. If that car has a key entry, I would get keys made. I believe the dealership has some sort of "master code" for those keypads but I don't know if they would keep them that far back and, if the keypad isn't working, wouldn't do you much good anyway...

I had a locksmith come and unlock the door for me. He didn't charge me anything. (I REALLY appreciate that), and found out that a fuse to the keypad was blown. NOW to get a new handle for it !!!
