Need more help
Friends parents still stuck. They were sent on their way from the dealer and later broke down again. Changed fuse again, eventhough it looked good. "Wait to start" not illuminating. Nothing is helping. They are an elderly couple and short in the wallet. Any guidance here is greatly appreciated. All the help given to them is also happening over the phone.

Is the fuel bowl heater unplugged or plugged in? Is there a chip in the truck?
I would suggest turning the key to the on position then get out and start wiggling any wires under the hood he can see. Have her watch the dash. If wiggling a certain wire causes the WTS ligth to come on or flicker, you've found the harness with the short.
And don't forget to check all the fuses, not just the ones we've been focusing on before. It might even be worth wiggling the fuses with the key on to see if maybe there's a loose fuse or relay.

Well, now after sitting for awhile the truck starts. While sitting he checked all the fuses. Said something about taking one at a time, putting it on the wiper slot and turning on. All worked. Put every thing back together and truck starts. Heater is unplugged. Truck was not even cranking. It's a wierd one.
