It's likely your blend door motor, it's behind the radio. I know they were having issues with them in 08, but I haven't heard of many from 06. To pull off the surround open the ashtray and grab hold of the bottom edge and gently pull it off, it's just held in with clips.

The clips that hold the surround on go vertically up the sides of it, just find and edge you can get a grip on and pull. As for testing you would need to probe the internal potentiometer, I’ve got to get to work but when I get back I’ll look through my shop manual for some wiring diagrams for you.

Circuit 247 (WH/YE) & 243 (LG/OG) = 5000 - 6000 ohms
Circuit 247 (WH/YE) & 246 (VT) = 250 - 5500 ohms
Circuit 243 (LG/OG) & 246 (VT) = 250 - 5500 ohms

Each should be within this range, the values should vary uniformly from hot to cold, with the exception of the first one.
