i think what's happening is too many online contest going on at one time. personally i like them! but... i think people are getting burned out on them, it's like a surgar high, you can only drink so many BIG GULP mtn dew's a day.

That was a special order truck.
That's also most likely a mis-print, whoever printed up the tag, or stamped the info on it, accidentally put one too many 0's on it.
Because, The Longer District Sales Office Code.
That truck is a FlareSide, And, is your truck...?
I'll decode the whole tag later, or I'll get Bill to do it.
My truck IS Rare.
It's a Single Rear Wheel 10K GVW F-350 with a 10" deep frame, bigger brakes, bigger radiator, which was part of the "Extra Cooling Group" and many other options.
The Coolest, Bein' the 7" longer Wheelbase, Which is for the Passenger Side Bedside wheel behind a panel...
There's a picture of it.

I was just funnin' ya. I know it was a misprint, but I'll bet that was pretty rare too. Bill already decoded it, but theres not much left of the original equip...3 speed is gone, 6 cyl is gone and rear end is gone. All has been replaced with parts from an '82 F-150. Numbers on the frame match the tag. Original color was CalTrans orange, not planning on going back to that.
