Anyone have any idea whats going on with my power windows on my 99 F250 driver side will not do anything passenger side will go down and up but once up it sounds like a relay under the dash clicks, then nothing from that window at all plus when that happens I have no wipers until I turn off my truck, and when I restart it the wipers work fine??
Both systems that you have problems with are controlled by the GEM module, which provides the time delay for the wipers and the delay so you would be able to roll up the windows after turning off the key.
Have you had any problems with water leaks near the fuse block under the dash? Usually, a leaky windshield will let water get into the GEM or the fuse block contacts and cause problems like this.
The GEM is attached to the back of the fuse block.
thank you for the reply, I don't think Ive ever had and water issues, I did take you the fuse under the hood that controls the windows and drivers side worked to roll down then back up. than click and gone again...
I am having the same issue with my 2000 250. I replaced the relay and still have the same problem. it seems to come and go. some mornings i get in the truck and window works fine. then boom. nothing for a day or so.
