Delayed Start
My 92 F-150 has been experiencing a delayed start problem.
The clutch switch was removed and bypassed awhile ago.
You turn the key and nothing.. Then you wait a minute turn it again and it starts. I have a check engine light on, and the Ford dealership told me its the EGR valve. Can this cause a starting problem?

Delayed Start
No - the EGR is totally inactive at starting. In fact, it's not active until the engine is hot and running well above idle.
When you say, "turn the key and nothing", I'm assuming you mean the engine doesn't even spin because the starter doesn't spin and there's not even a click from the starter relay near the battery. Turn the radio on - when you turn the key to the START position, does the radio shut off?
