Like Wallz, I did mine a while ago...almost 4 years ago...but back then I too used Guzzles info to order my pins.

Alright. I will probably go with hawk pads. Are the cryo drilled/slotted rotors necessary, or can I get by with top of the ilne stuff locally? I don't tow anything.

Everyone has an opinion regarding the front rotors. For me, I had such a huge problem with the warped feeling/brake shimmy my original rotors and pads had, that when I learned about the cryo treated Powerslots 4 years ago, and ended up buying them, I knew immediately after installing them that I'd never have a different combo on the Excursion ever again. I still feel that way 4 years later.
So, for me (I can't say for you), but for me, yes, it is WELL worth the cost to get the cryo treated Powerslots and Hawk LTS pads. So much so that when I had to do the front brakes on my F250 a couple months ago, I never even considered a different rotor, even though I didn't have the same problem with my truck as I had with my Excursion.

PS - The cryo'd Powerslots aren't drilled, just slotted.

I just Google "Powerslot rotors" and start checking to see who has the lowest price for my needs. Then I contact a trusted source for the same product and see if they price match. That way you can buy from a trusted internet source and still get the best price.
