Broken radiator

Hi guys yesterday, i had to rescue my 1991 ford f250 7,3 l diesel IDI , but didnt went like i plan....

, I was with my brother's girlfriend.

My truck is stuck under a power suply lain since last saturnday (20/03), i was getting affraid of finding it Vandalized..., of course i let the truck unlock so they would break the window just to get in it, but they stoled one of my two battery, because one pole of the battery was welded they coudn't get away with both, well nothing to help me to get the truck unstock, we had to jump start the truck.

So while trying to aproach the other truck to jump start mine's we got it stuck too, AFTER ! we tough of just poping to hood take the battery and bring it to my truck... why did we didnt think of that before getting is truck stock ? so now we had 2 trucks stock, no way of getting back home... nice day !

so , started my truck, had some help of an old couple that were passing by on a snowmobile, the couple were living near by, they cuted some wood with their chain saw and help us te get my truck unstock, but it was really a bad day and with all the pride we had of getting one truck out, i put the foot down on throtle to hope to clear all the rought terrain, 15 feet away got stuck again but this time with more pain, i was travaeling at about 30-35 mph and then the rear axle jumped 3 feet in the air and made a scrath in my brand new windshield with my head... and it still hurt.

My front axle hitted a rock covered by snow, and broke my radiator too.

For the other truck by luck, a litle suziki samourai helped us a lot to get the sonoma chevrolet of my brother's girlfriend out, and got back home with my truck still stuck... , I'm suppose to go back with a another f-250 on some 40 inch tyres to rescue me....next saturnday, should be okay,.

But my fear are more for my raditor, now its fully empty and it was leaking at large droplet, my friends told me to just put water in it so we could get it out of the trail, without to much problem ... is this real or im i gonna rust the inside of my engine ???, please tell me what are my options !!! and im shure gonna need some advice on how to change my radiator too, this topic is to be continued... ! thx ford guys !

you can use straight water as long as you dont let it freeze. Taking out the radiator is pretty straitforward. unhook the hoses, and take out the 4 bolts that hold the shroud on, then 4 bolts that hold the radiator in place. Then just lift it out, careful not to damage it on the fan.

An extra hand to help lift it out helps too!

i did it by myself. Definitly easier with a helper, but not impossible by yourself. Bring somethin more than the bumper to stand on.
