Transmission help????

I have a 94 ford F150 with a 5.8L 4x4 and the E40D transmission
ok to start off ill tell ya'll what happen
fist it started to jerk around when i gave it gas and finally 5 hours later the transmission went. i got it home creeping down the highway. i had to let my truck idle and start pulling its self and barely give it gas. If i would give it gas it would sould like something was turning but not doing anything. The next day i looked and it had fluid in it. i went through all the gears. I have no reverse or drive. i put it in park and it still rolls.
so i am planning on rebuilding the trany with a rebuild kit but i want to know what ya'lls guess would be what broke. my friends dad (who is a mechanic) so its my springs.
Well what i need help on is i got a atsg manual and iv already started taking the transmission apart but i got to a special tool (a clutch spring compressor (Clutch Spring Compressor) ) and i asked advance auto and o'rilleys and they don't have that tool for rent or sell and i looked it up online and it runs for$130 to $450 and i am doing the rebuild kit cause its the cheaper way but i also need two other tools
- a clutch remover (http://www.etoolcart.com/clutchremover-installer.aspx)
- and a clutch spring compressor (different than the first one i said) (Clutch Spring Compressor)

i was wondering if anyone could help me with this i don't have alot of money so telling me how to make homemade tools i don't have a welder
or a place i could get them really cheap or even one of yall having them and letting me use them i would give them back and give some money for letting me use them and if i did break them i would pay for new ones no problem
but if any ideas or willing to help me and live near me so i could use them or something i would be willing to spend the shipping fees to get the tools and send them back
but any help will be greatly thanked

well can anyone at least tell me what you think is wrong
if it is my springs
or my dad said it could be my torque converter but if that was it how would that mess with the parking gear when i put it into park and it still rolls

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ding-e4od.html Have a read through this thread for tips.
I am no expert but the strange thing in your description is that Park does not hold. If caused by something inside the trans it could only be shifter linkage out of adjustment/broken, park pawl stuck/broken. transmission output shaft broken. In other words none of the hydraulic or electronic internals (including the torque converter) would cause that.
However the transfer case in neutral or the transfer case defective would cause it. Did you shift into 4wd to see if it then held in Park?
