I have a 51, flathead v-8, 4 speed crashbox, in wanting to stay as original as possible yet make it a highway drivable truck, what rear end gear ratio would be my best bet if I swapped in a nine inch in the rear? thanks, chris

With 16 inch back wheels 3.25 would be ideal. Maybe even as high as 3.00 with the four speed with it's lower first gear.
