If you're getting one, Ford ESP is the only way to go. Print a quote from fordwarrantys.com and take that to your dealer - tell them to match it and you'll buy from them, otherwise you'll just order it online. I've yet to see a dealer that wouldn't do it.
I bought one from my dealer, it's good for 5yrs/75k, and I paid $1025.00. The biggest reason I bought it was that if I never used it and I sold or traded the truck, they would refund the total amount. With that in mind it was a no brainer, Mike
As everyone stated, get the Ford ESP and don't be afraid to haggle the price down. The dealer is trying to make money on everything they can sell you.
The rub with me is this. Your new vehicle has a 3yr / 36,000 mile bumper to bumper and a 5yr 60,000 power train warranty. You buy the ESP 75,000 mile warranty for say $1100 and aside from getting a loaner when your laid up in the shop, your only getting an extra 15,000 miles of coverage for $1100.00.
Someone help me out here. Is is the ESP a bumper to bumper, a power train warranty or can you tailor it to your needs?
