I took out my IDM to do the 140v mod, got too scared to actually do it so i went to put my IDM back in, hooked back up the batteries and the truck wont start now. It just cranks. I didn't do anything but pop the top off the IDM. How could i have fried it?
Sorry guys, i didn't mean to scare anyone. I was super scared myself. haha. Me and electricity dont get along very well. Thats why i didn't actually do the mod. I didn't want to screw it up. I'm gonna need some help with this mod. Does anyone live in Washington that can help me?
Shoot, i thought i would be able to take it on but never using a solder iron and knowing that if i screwed up then well i would be screwed. Well, i appreciate your guys quick help! Really i do appreciate it.
ya, I was wondering if any local computer or tv repair shops would do it around my area. I haven't sealed it back up, so I will make some calls and see what i can find. The problem is i just dont have the soldering skills i need to work in that small of space.
I just looked in the phone book and couldn't find any computer or television repair places in town. I would have to take a drive somewhere which would be sorta hard with the idm outta the truck haha.
scratch that! i found a place in town that might be able to do it.
