Need help quick!

I took out my IDM to do the 140v mod, got too scared to actually do it so i went to put my IDM back in, hooked back up the batteries and the truck wont start now. It just cranks. I didn't do anything but pop the top off the IDM. How could i have fried it?

Check all the fuses under the hood and the ones under the dash.
If that is all you did you shouldn't have fried it. Double check the plug connections.

I assume you had the batteries disconnected and the key off when you unplugged it and replugged it back in?

Does the tach move any when cranking?

Congrats. That is a scary feeling.

Beans can do the mod for you for about $100. They did mine. I am not good with circuit boards at all.

ya, I was wondering if any local computer or tv repair shops would do it around my area. I haven't sealed it back up, so I will make some calls and see what i can find. The problem is i just dont have the soldering skills i need to work in that small of space.

I just looked in the phone book and couldn't find any computer or television repair places in town. I would have to take a drive somewhere which would be sorta hard with the idm outta the truck haha.

scratch that! i found a place in town that might be able to do it.

I've been meaning to do that mod but I think I'll wait till I have a spare IDM, just in case.

you know if you send two IDMs into swamps, they will keep on and mod the other one for you. Just an FYI.
