what is better aod or e40d ?
have both, both need work. 91 f-150 with 302 and an aod that does not slip it is a more of a jaring efect when in od. i lose speed and as soon as i hit the gas it goes into drive even at 75 mph. i would like to think it was a belt but it sounds like it is taking a beating. 90 e-350 with 351w and a e40d that slips in every gear. the 351w is going in the pickup. the e40d cost more than the aod to rebuild. what 1 should i go with if i keep the aod i could get by with out swaping the computer. what would you guys do?

Hi- I would rebuild and use your AOD. The E40D is stronger on their birthdays, but the aod can be built up quite a bit, and is cheaper and more plentiful to rebuild. That's my opinion.
