XLT adding keyless entry handle
Hi guys,
I searched for the answer, but it seems the threads I was finding were from 2002-2004.
My Dad just got and is enjoying his 2010 F150. He has remote keyless entry, but like many XLT's does not have the keypad in the door handle.
I am wondering if I buy him a handle with the keypad, if it will have the harness run to the door, and will it work? He was given a 5 digit code for his truck, so the RKE module is programmed already for one.
Neither of us wants the stick on wireless unit, don't care for the way they look.
Has anyone swapped handles like that and gained keypad entry on a newer truck?

It worked on the 04-08's but i havent heard of anyone doing it on the 09's+ yet...
Let me know if your interested but i've got a whole set of black with chrome pull handles and the drivers one has the keypad....perfect condition, i just went to painted...
