intake gasket

I am looking for opinions on Intake gaskets for a 400. should i goo back with the

valley tin/gasket or just a gasket with no valley pan. I am using an edlebrock intake

Use the pan, it shield the manifold from heat. I wouldn't use any gaskets on the ports unless you have leak problems. Lots of guys use RTV sealant for the end pieces.

I second that, just did mine last weekend, get the felpro gasket (metal) and use some RTV instead of the end rubbers, I used the napa gray and it sealed great.

Felpro 1240, great alternative to the valley pan gasket.

I second the Fel Pro 1240, turkey pan is a pain.

Use the valley pan gasket.It will help cut the heat in the manifold by keeping the hot splash oil from the lifter valley away from the bottom of the manifold.
