Yesterday my truck's battery just randomly died. now the truck mostly sits throughout the year and has only recently been driven a lot. So the battery should be fine. But i am wondering if there is a common cause that happens sometimes or if it is the battery.
We have nothing to go with here so you will only get opinion and possibilities.
A vehichle left unused long enough will discharge the battery because the computer is always kept alive and takeing power.
A battery that runs low in the winter is subject to freezing and intenal damage.
The reasons go on, like corroded battery cable termnals etc.
Unless you go looking for the problem, let it alone until it happens again, then look for the issue.
Battery capacity test.
Charging system test.
Cable/terminal maintainance etc.
Poor ground.
