This is the procomp 22210 springs up front and 5.5 tapered block in the rear.
The wheels have 3.5 backspacing - is that ok? I don't mind a little rubbing as I will never take her off-road - that is what my CJ7 with 1 tons and 38 Swampers is for! Stuffing a tire completely is really not going to happen....
You will be more than fine. The acceptable backspace is around 4". Anymore and you'll be risking rubbing on the leafs.
Offset is calculated using + or - measurement (in mm) from the theoretical centerline of the wheel. Backspace is a direct measurement from the back lip of the rim to the mounting face.

Reason: Clarity
Leveling your truck won't affect the backspace requirements of your wheels. Most, if not all, rims for trucks are listed with backspace numbers ie: 3", 4.5" etc... the bigger your backspace number the more the inner lip of your rim is going to get to your springs. Stick with a 4" backspace and you'll be fine.

So <=4"...awesome. What about if they use the term "offset" instead? What kinda numbers would I be looking for there?
Ok, so i did a search for threads on backspacing, and that's how I wound up here. However, I just realized I was in the Excursion forum, haha. Anyways, the brand I was recommended was Centerline, because it can handle excess weight. Does anyone know if this should work on the 99-04 trucks with leafs on the front? Center Line Wheels
william_04_x do you have pictures of front and one from behind so i can see the difference and how much they stick out?
thanks so much.
Joe
I don't have any, but I can take a couple. I don't run these wheels and tires all the time. I have a pair for the rear when I go to the track. I'll mount them on the front of the truck to see if they rub. I would imagine they will because the tires are +12" wide. I want to do this anyways as I want to run these wheels on the street with a bit smaller tire.

The wheels I pictured are Centerlines. Their site recommends the 4.5 backspace(depending on diameter) for 99-04's, unless you are lifted.. Give them a call, they're cool people.
