So i finished it up last night and it turned out great im really happy with it. I made an album of it so you should check it out and tell me what you think.
Your CCV Mod looks great ! Thanks for the pictures... Any chance you have a more detailed "how-to" list on your project ? I have been researching this for a couple weeks and so far yours looks like the way I want to do my F250. Do you have a list of exactly what items you used, where you got them, and what was the final cost ?
16 feet of 3/4 inch heater hose. (I had about a foot and half left over but better to much then to less)
1 ea 4 inches of 4" exhaust tubing to replace stock ccv in air intake (I picked mine up at my local muffler shop for about $10)
3 ea hose clamps to fit the heater hose
2 ea O rings the will need to be replaced under the vent on valve cover
1 ea 90 degree fitting for heater hose (the i got is plastic)
1 ea screw in pet **** (found at local hardware store)
Scotchbrite pad to fill canister with
1 ea 1-1/2" PVC Coupling
1 ea 1-1/2" PVC cap
1 ea 1-1/2" PVC insert with 1/2" threaded hole
1 ea 6-8 inch long piece of 1-1/5" PVC tubing
I think that is all of it. If you want i can build a canister and get the 90 degree piece for you and ship to you then all you would need to get would be the heater hose and clamps and the piece to 4" tubing. Let me know
hey superD...
how much for the canister? im very interested and impressed with the way you did it. please let me know...i can paypal money if you need.
thanks
Thanks again for the info ! I began my CCV Mod today...I'm doing a hybrid of your method and the CCV Mod Kit from RiffRaff Diesel. I have everything dismantled and should get my IC Boots and CCV Mod Kit in the mail this morning... All I have to do is bolt everything back up and I'll be ready to keep my IC and Intake free from oil and dust ! I'll post pics when I'm finished.
I got all my projects done this morning...but the camera was dead, so I guess no pics
I did the 6637 Mod...which was pretty easy if you have a dremel tool with cut-off wheel (for trimming the battery box...like a glove!)
I installed my new IC boots...and they looks GOOD
and I did most of the CCV Mod...I was shocked just how easy that was. The kit I ordered from RiffRaff Diesel worked like a charm...all I have to do now is the canister at the end of the hose and I'll be set.
I actually did...I was suprised how easy everything was. The hardest part was actually painting the IC Pipes...and tough getting them in without nicking the paint. I was going to try the Wicked Wheel install today as well, but decided to quit while my luck held out ! LoL I'll have a buddy of mine throw it in for me next week. I can't wait to hear how it sounds !
Yea i havnet done that one yet. How much does that mod cost?
The Wicked Wheel ? If you do it yourself, about $110. I got my stuff from Clay from RiffRaff Diesel Performance Parts. I was watching some how-to videos on the installation on You Tube... But I don't know about using an impact on my turbo-innards. As far as what my buddy is going to charge to install it, I'll find out when he does it. I doubt it will be much.
